Today, I want to share with you a postulate that I made after my different experiences in startup businesses.
1 - The Lean startup is great for B to C businesses not B to B
All the process that you can see like "consumer development", "consumer validation", ect. Don't work in the same way than in B to C businesses. "The Startup Owner's Manual" don't tel you about these differences and prefer show differences between web/mobile and physical channels.
That's a problem for business services startup. During one of my intern ship I've tried to build one plan for this kind of startup based on lean startup approach. This startup develop a tool that could be useful for R&D centers of big companies.
2 - the lean startup approach is not recognized
Is the The business plan an efficient tool ? etc.
It's there that I understood that people who was working in the same way during years are not ready to change yet their mindset. Finally the business plan has not been sentenced.
All the protagonists was well known people of the startup ecosystem in France. That's mean, if you have to create an enterprise in France, you will have to write a business plan or a kind of. This approach is incompatible with the lean startup movement that refuse to compose with the business plan with is considered like un-entrepreneurial. I think the answer is in the democratization of the approach and the foundation of a scientific theory.
